so me and my friend (19 and 20 respectively by cruise date) are looking to take a cruise in June of 2010. As many of you probably already realize the problem is that we are too young. It is supposed to be a party cruise where its me and him being wing men and basically the dream of every boy since they turned 16. What I need help on is any way around the age limit that we could do. so far the only one I believe we could do is get married. So... if there are any 18-22 year old beauties out there go ahead and speak up. And other than that any ideas that we could use?

Find an elderly pair of women that have always wanted to go on a cruise, pay their fare, each one of you book with one of them, age problem solved, once on board you can adjust cabins as necessary, just make sure they aren't cougars, or your plan is in the sewer...................................

No easy solution to this, just about all lines are really sticking to the over 21 or if under 21 at least one in the cabin over 25 so kinda stuck with finding some older friends, I suppose inviting the parents is probably not a good suggestion either..?

But trust me, knowing Calgon, we both feel your pain........................................

Invite someone who is over the age of 25. Or, see if Royal Caribbean or NCL will allow you to cruise (though the age limit might be 21).

Save up and do it right at 21. I cruised 30 years ago for my Senior trip, even back then we had no right to be there....how we all survived I will never know ?? Luck and God. I was on a cruise 4 years ago with a bunch of 20 somethings, friends of friends, and it was a mess. They tried the whole switch a cabin thing and got caught, some ended up in the brig, most got their drinking privileges cut off. Too many horrible stories to recount, kicked out of the dining room, I was so embarassed caught in this crowd. I love to have a good time, don't get me wrong....but geez.

Save up and do it right at 21, a dream is worth waiting for.....if you wait and do it right, you may becaome life long cruisers like me.

Here is your ONLY hope!

The following cruise lines require that at least one person in each cabin is 18 or older:

Cruise West, Cunard, Fred. Olsen Cruise Line, P&O Cruises Australia, SeaDream, Star Clippers and Uniworld

Disney also allows bookings for 18 and older.

Here's another thought. Celebration Cruise Line cruises short Bahamas Cruises from Ft Lauderdale. The minimum age is 18 as well. Sounds more like what the OP was looking for.

Also, the drinking age is 21 on Celebration Cruise Line in US waters but 18 at sea and in Nassau. Here's a link to their web site.
