I have a medical condition in which "caffine" makes it worse, so I am real careful aboutmy caffine intake, so the soda card only inlcudes coke and diet? No caffine free coke? No sprite? No ginger ale?

No it doesn't. At least it didn't on the Dawn last summer nor the Regal this summer. The only bar drinks one can get with the soda sticker (its not a card) are coke and diet coke. Sprite was only available in the can not on the soda sticker program. What ship did you get ginger ale on - even in the can. We did not have that choice and sure would have liked it.

Frank,

I was able to get Ginger Ale frequently on the Grand. In Skywalkers, in the sports bar... never a question, never a problem.

And they definitely weren't serving me GA from a can... a friend I was with ordered a GA without a soda sticker, was brought the can, and the drink was noticably a different color than what I received (it was actually lighter). So they were without a doubt two different sources.

It sounds like this varies from ship to ship with the Grand having more variety. I know the Regal and Dawn did not provide other than coke & diet coke on the card. It would be nice to see this spread to the rest of the fleet. I'll check the Coral out in April.

I do believe it DOES vary from ship to ship. Seems its the newer ships that offer more choices.

hmmm. I'm going on the Pacific Princess, so.... I'll be sure to ask WHAT it includes before I get it. I'll file a complaint if it doesn't, considering that my 'condition' hits 1 out of every 3 women, there are plenty of us. You know I hear SOO many people say they didn't like this or that, but I think instead of telling everyone else, write it on the review that every cruise line asks you fill out at the end of the cruise, THEY are ones that can change it.

I may be wrong but I don't recall any non-caffinated beverages on any ship that I've sailed on. I'd sure like that option.

Going off topic a bit, we are pepsi drinkers and I always buy the non-caffinated versions. At one time my wife liked Mountain Dew, a Pepsi product but it turns out that they don't make a decaffinated version on the West Coast. They do make it back east or in the south and I've written to Pepsi about this but they just blew me off. Instead, they came out with a version that has twice the caffiene. So, we don't buy any Mountain Dew anymore.

Frank,

Very interesting!! I also was told by my doctor to cut the caffeine. I am a Pepsi drinker originally but have taken a liking to Mountain Dew in the past year or so. I live in Wisconsin, and I believe that all but one of my local grocery stores carry the caffeine free Mountain Dew. I'm just very surprised that you can't get it at all out there. That stinks!! Everyone teases me, asking why I bother at all drinking "caffeine-free" Mountain Dew :lol. I have heard of this sort of thing before though, now that I think about it. I just moved last year from Michigan, and my brothers would always buy cases of Vernors when they were up for a visit. Apparently they can't get it in Missouri.
