Does anyone have any idea what the cost of the soda cards are on Princess right now?

what exactly is a soda card and is it worth getting? Is there a good range of diet drinks available or just diet coke?

It was 24.95 on our 7day...We bought ONE, and then DH would just get sodas for me when I wanted them. It was worth the money that we paid for one to split...but wouldn't have been worth it if we had purchased two.

As far as I know you can get whatever kind of pop you want, you just have to show them the sticker and tell them. I'm guessing though that their range of diet drinks is probably limited?

Right....I'm sorry but I have to do it......the soda cards are not meant to be "shared". The more often that people do this the sooner you will find the price of the soda cards going up....and Princess will once again be accused of "more" nickel and diming. I see a day coming when Princess institutes the same policy it uses for their coffee card and the purchase of the soda card will allow only a limited numer of soda purchases.

Hello there I have a question about the soda card.....
I am not sure how to word it...
Is there a 15% gratuity every time you order a drink???
like from the bar and other places???
not sure how this works.... My husband is thinking on getting a card, but if it is 15% every time you order it might be better to,just got
to store before we board and get him a 12 pack of coke....
I hope you understand what I am trying to ask...

HAVE A GREAT DAY

When you purchase the soda card the gratuity is included in the cost....no need to tip each time you have a soda!

What about Juices, Coffee and Tea? Are they included or do we need to buy the card? Is it the same on all princess ships?

Hello Sab Bri, If I'm remembering correctly, the juices were free at breakfast (both in the dinning room and at the buffet) So was regular coffee, most places. Specialty flavored coffees were extra. I thought it odd that the desserts in the Cafe (in the atrium area) were free but the coffee cost. =huh

About the drink choices, they do not have any kind of soft drink available that is both sugar free AND caffiene free. That is why I never bought the card.

Soda cards of course give you soda dispensed from a fountain gun, not from a can.

My wife is a Pepsi addict although she'll condescend to drink Coke.

Her experience with the soda card was that the soda was always too sweet or too flat or too.....
Tried every bar on the ship and the guns were all out of wack. (I tasted them too, and agreed with her. She wasn't being picky).

We returned the card after a day and they (cheerfully) gave us a full refund.

When possible she now brings a six pack or two on board either initially or at a port, if convenient.

=yeah that's it..and if you figure that's your thing it is worth it..DH Mark has maybe 5 drinks per 10 days sailing..but he adores his Diet Pop.. so the hundred bucks for our cruise in 3 weeks is worth it to him..and we cannot do caffeine free soda.. tastes plain nasty for us ..=twocents.

... and very few folks do .which is *why* they don't have it.,not worth it for the sheer numbers that "do request" it.to have the syrup, dispensers etc etc..cost outlay ;versus numbers that request it.....that's what we were told..Happy cruising kids..:)...Joanne
