We have just posted our review of the March 15th cruise on the Celebrity Solstice. It is located at www.thepreismans.com. In addition to the review, there is a separate page with the Grand Epernay breakfast and dinner menus. The menu page also includes the latest Murano, and Tuscan Grille menus, as well as the Martini Bar Menu.

At the end of the review there is a link to Carol's Snapfish album with mostly people pics in it, with lots of captions. At the bottom of the slideshow screen, please click on the "enable captions" icon which is the little gray rectangular box on the bar.

Well done once again Mike and Carol.
Folks you look at this and their other site on the pre-inaugural and you too will feel like you were there with us.

Went on the inaugural of the Solistic and can say I would NEVER recommend that ship to anyone.
Food was horrible.
Service was horrible.
Room was horrible.
The chairs throughout were uncomfortable, especially in the dining room.
It was so unlike Celebrity; never again.

It's NOT Celebrity, it's a new "brand" of sailing with the same name. Celebrity has been ship-napped and is never returning.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I respect yours, even though I don't agree with you. My favorite is still the Infinity, but I did not find anything about the Solstice to be "horrible". The food was delicious, but not excellent as it was with Michael Roux. The only bad point in the cabin was the closet, but there were several new innovative touches that I loved. I was fine with the dining room chairs, but in other areas of the ship I did find some that were not comfortable, but most were fine. Service was very good, but not as good as it used to be. I have found that to be true industry wide. Every ship, every line has its good points and its bad points. However, I would not say that anything about the Solstice was even bad, much less "horrible".

Earl, I love aft cabins --- just not on the Solstice. I can't imagine why they didn't put the elevators closer.

Or why they did away with the sheers on the balconies....=huh
Think it's funny they put out all these press releases about how they consulted their best pax in the design, and the only thing I LIKE in the new design is the foot stool, so we ladies can shave in that tiny shower - a normally dangerous and arduous task. Other than that, it's all lost on me. Can't imagine a single design element that a long time pax would have suggested. Especially the Euro Techno music, which now is all you can get on the TV on M Class - it used to be "modern comtemporary pop" that you actually recognized. Think they still had the classical music though, but that puts me to sleep, and I like to listen to upbeat music while dressing for dinner. Cie la vie!

ah but those rooms are way more comfortable, usable and the bathrooms way more usable. I'm sure those ladies they used had more input than the wee foot rest for the shaving. It btw was way to low to assist me whatsoever. :D

Sheers ? We had them. =huh

Music in the rooms is no problem at all. They have a gazillion channels on the TV.

Public rooms is where there is music which was not to my ears. :)

Weird, it was posted on the cruise critics - no sheers - followed by a dozen other people agreeing. I presumed this a standard veranda there were talking about. I know it was a veranda|
