Bill got his thoast scoped yesterday and they told him off hand it did not look worse than it had 2 years ago but would send him a report they did take some biopsies. In July he has 3 MRI's sceduled plus several otehr clinics. They are giving him a through check up and meds he had be doing without .Very impressed with the VA hospital on the whole In at 6:30 out a little after 9. Had nice people in waiting room and had some interesting conversations. Just wish everything was closer to us.

Just want to thank you all for the good wishes--still a long way until he is on his feet again so we will apprectiate some more. Thanks

I'm so very glad that Bill's throat is doing okay and that things are maintaining for him. I'm also glad that he's visiting a VA Hospital that's worth it's salt and is taking good care of him! I've got him on my prayer-list Maw, please keep us posted on how he's doing! :angel

Glad to hear you got some positive news. Traveling so far for medical treatment is a pain in the butt but at least he is now getting some much needed care. Good luck with future reports.

Glad the initial report was positive and that he is now getting his needed medication. Isn't it nice to be able to get the help we need from the people that are supposed to give it??!!
Prayers continue......:angel

Maw you know Billy will always be in my thoughts & prayers.
It was so good to talk to you after you got back from KC so you could tell me about all the test & stuff.
Tell Billy I said hello & that I'am thinking about him.

Glad to read that the VA is going a great job for Billy. We hear so many bad things about the VA, it's refreshing to hear a positive experience. Wishing him the best and that he is back in the swing of things very soon. Hugs to you and Paw!

Maw - so far great news! Keep it up!

I am really impressed with the visit Jim has to the VA Hospital here. Might as well use it - they deserve it!

My dh was in the VA system for 3 plus years and other than the wait sometimes he had a very good experience. We have a VA hospital here in the Atlanta area so it is really close to our house, about 3 miles. For his routine appointments he went to a satellite clinic that was pretty far away but he never had to wait very long there.

The VA was the only people that were able to get his blood pressure down and they did it using mostly older generic drugs. New drugs don't always mean better!
