What amount is appropriate for, say, someone bringing you a drink, or bringing coffee to your room? I need to have some kind of guideline for my Granparents to follow...a quarter just doesn't seem do the trick anymore. Go figure!

:wave Hey Traci..and "nice to meet you"..I'd say if room service $2.00, if it's at the bar..I would think an extra $1.00 would be fine =shrug but I hardly drink..:grin..and Hubby gets them for me as a rule............hope someone else answers this too..good luck with researching for your cruise...:daisy..Joanne

Just so you know, a 15% gratuity is automatically added to a bar bill. Some do tip above that, which is at your discretion. As for room service, we normally tip according to how much we order, sort of like if it were at a restaurant. If its meals for all 4 of us, I tip more... but if its just a coffee or one sandwich - a dollar or two.
