The first two days of our cruise (Conquest Oct 23) is sea days.... I would like to book a massage for both me and my sweetie as a surpise for him. How would I order this service. Do I need to go up without his knowledge and make an appointment, or can I order it by phone or the steward?

Thanks in advance,
Linda

Just be sure to book as soon as possible. Spa appointments book up quickly, especially on sea days! I was unaware that you could even book by phone. I will have to keep this in mind for my cruise in April. I have always just gone straight to the spa when I board the ship...we even go there before checking in to our rooms or exploring the ship. We are always on the ship within the first hour of embarkation and even with that many appointments are already booked. I'm sure and your sweetie will love the spa! Have fun!

I was just wondering if the spa on Carnival Victory is handicap accessible, because I am in a wheelchair and was wanting to take advantage of the spa services while on my cruise?

When you say by phone... do you mean to call once you are in your cabin on the ship? I tried to call Carnival to see if I could book a massage and they said they didn't take reservations until boarding the ship.

Call when you get to your cabin-- you cant make reservations when NOT on the ship.

your phone will post the number for the spa, know that on port days it is MUCH cheaper. And it is wheelchair accessable, assuming you can transfer to the spa table with one assist. If you require two people, I would include this info ahead of time for your convienence.

Are the $1 per minute massages that are advewrtised on some of the private beaches in various ports as good as the ship's spa massages which seem to cost considerably more?

The massages on the beaches are just as nice. the conditons are different though. On the ship you have a sterile enviroment. on the beach you do not. in Majuhaul they did not change the sheets between clients..nor did they wash their hands. but other thenthat--the massage was very nice--very relaxing. It is NOT a deep tissue massage.
