Speaking of price increases - Princess Cruises

Auto-gratuity on all Princess ships is now $11.50 / $12.00 per person.

The Chef's Table cover charge has increased:


The wine included cover charge will increase from US $ 75 to US $ 95 per person.

The non-alcoholic cover charge will increase from US $ 60 to US $ 80 per person.

The Chef’s Table is not offered on SUN/DAWN/SEA when based in Australia.

I don't mind the extra dollar per day for gratuities.
I do think as $20 jump for the Chef's Table is a ridiculously big increase. I may have to consider skipping the wine part of it in protest on my cruise in 11 weeks!!! But, darn, they serve such good ones.

I think we all have to get used to price increases on cruising, just like food, etc. We have become spoiled and are used to a budget vacation with all the frills of a deluxe experience. I do agree the Chef's Table increase is over the top.
