To follow up on a prevous post on this board, you can print out your boarding passes prior to getting to the airport, I ONLY fly spirit because i literally live 10 min from Atlantic city , which this airport is only spirit, and delta express, i have never waited in line with the boarding pass you go rigth to security, i find spirit prices from ac to florida the cheapestmost direct 2 hr flight, usually never pay more that 140 round trip, and never ever had a problem with spirit, in fact 30 days prior to your flight if you book online, which i do because its 10.00 cheaper than calling up, they offer you a discount to book on the web, you can even change your flights without a penalty charge, and pick your seats right on line, we print out our boarding passes, and put them right in our carryon front zippers... no waiting, no luggage to check with onlya 22 inch carryon and on board we are !!!

We are taking Spirit Arilines to San Juan from DC in May. Have you ever had any experience with upgrading to their Spirit Plus (if seats are open) at the gate? It's suppose to only be like $40 to upgrade.

Since we live far from port I thought I'd add that we always fly Spirit from Denver to FLL for any destinations from there. We have had good service and almost always have been able to get the check-in up grade for very little

Sue -

What did you think of the upgraded seats, since you have actually been in them? On SeatGuru.com, they show the seats (besides being leather) as being slightly larger than the regular coach seats. I'm not looking for extra service, just would like the extra seat space.
