Spirit Class Balcony Question

I’m thinking about my next cruise being on the Carnival Legend. My DB and SIL whom have been sailing with us for about four years now has raised a concern and is questioning my choice of the Legend.

On all of our other cruises the balcony partition has opened against the cabin window and has not hindered our view of the sea and ports.

My research shows the balcony partition on Spirit class ships open out toward the railing. DB’s concern is the blocked view.

Has this been an issue for anyone? And how much is blocked?

Please share your thoughts that I my share with my DB and anyone else that may want to join me.

We've had a balcony - an extended one - on a Spirit Class ship but didn't open it - so I don't know the answer to your question. Perhaps you can check with a Travel Agent? One thing I can say - is that I really like the Spirit Class ships. The way they are laid out - especially the food area on the Lido deck. (Loved out extended balcony, too!)
