My cousin and myself are traveling on this date also. I'm 61 and she is 55. Her first cruise so I am booking a higher category then I normally would. Hope to see more show up. It's always fun to gab.

Hi there,
It is good to hear from someone else sailing on this day.
I am very close to your age, and the other grandparents are a bit older.
This is my second time on the Spirit, and I really enjoyed this ship.
We will be celebrating both Chanukkah and Xmas on the ship and they do a really nice decorating of both holidays.
What state are you travelling from? I am here in Florida.
Only 159 days left to go.

Hi Again,
We couldn't be farther apart. I live in Washington state and my cousin lives in Portland, Oregon and that's where we will be coming from. We will be flying in a day early thank God. It's going to take those first few days to get adjusted to the time change so I am glad they will be spent at sea. Keep me posted on the countdown. LOL.

Hi,

We're sailing on this cruise as well. Couldn't pass up the past guest balcony deal.

Travelling with my wife and two sons (11 & 17). This will be our third cruise.

Destiny Jan 2000 and Enchantment Mar 2003. We're hooked!!!.

We're from Quebec where the winter starts in November and doesn't let up until April.

Going for three weeks to Florida.

See ya there.

I'll be there too. I'm 64 & will be traveling by myself. This will also be the second time for me on the Spirit (western Carribean). In total I've been on 6 cruises. I got off to a late start with cruising & now I can't cruise enough.

Tiadeerin,
I am your age and a single person. I too have cruised many times solo, and always had a great time meeting other singles on the boat.
Last time I went on the Spirit was in 2001 (Dec) with a singlesgroup. We also went to Barbados....
I have been on quite a number of cruises (as you can see under my name plus a few I did not mention. Living here in Fla. and so close to the ports it is quite tempting when a great deal comes up for a cruise.
Hope to meet all of you when we cruise in Dec.
In the meantime let's keep this list growing.
Marilyn (Cruzmama59)

By the way, there are some more shipmates of ours on cruisecritics board...Trying to get them to sign over to this site too.

We're here, just discovered cruise addicts, been too busy on cruise critic. We are a family of 4 traveling from Mass. 2 children 12 and 15. Flying down the night before hopefully from Hartford Ct. We'll be on the Spirit on the 17th also. Just got back from the Victory from New York to Halifax. What a great boat. But I understand the Spirit class is much nicer. We are true royal Caribbean cruisers, Been on enchantment last Christmas and Sovereign for a quick getaway. What other way to vacation then to cruise!! See you all in December

Hey all!

I just learned of the Spirit 12/17 list being built on this site. My mother (Barbara) and myself (Michelle) will be on this cruise. We are in cabin 8119 but you can't miss us. Momster is in a wheel chair due to COPD and were usually somewhere stirring up trouble! I would love it if we could get on the list of cruisers you have building! We are driving in from Kentucky and will probably arrive the night before. I have a great deal of equipment to unload so will want to be able to get into the handicapped parking. Does anyone know how close it is to the building? My excitement is building all over again and I think I need to go home and check my packing list!

Hey Michelle - Glad you read my post on cruisemates message board!

Hope we get some more people signing on. Sounds like a real great group of people. This will be my 11th Carnival cruise. Used to live in Boca Raton and moved back to Canada 16 years ago. (why I ask myself every November). Both my daughters were born in the US. Was in the travel biz so got on lots of cruises. Early Carnival(5),Dolphin(7), Emerald Seas (3), Princess (2), Sitmar (2), RCCL(3), RCL(2) , NCL(4), RVL(1), Windstar (inaugural), Mercator, Cunard (2) and untold others (too old to remember). My youngest daughter (18) Sarah has the cruise bug....this will be her 5th cruise on Carnival. Call me crazy but of all the ships I have been on - Carnival is my fave! Lots of fun, no pretensions, bit of a price gouge on some things now but I appreciate smart business sense and great prices for the cabin. I hope that we can all meet at a predetermined time to celebrate Cruzmama (Marilyn) who has gathered us all together! Maybe we can share big table for dinner?!! :)

What do you say about that?

Hey there Cindi and Marilyn,

I would like to say thanks for the warm welcome. Im an avid fan of the site that I heard about this message post on but Im very happy to find folks that will be sailing on the same cruise the Momster and I will be on. Momster was diagnosed 10 years ago with COPD and given 6 mo. to live. I dared her to prove the docs wrong and here we are planning our 3rd cruise. This is going to be a really awesome one because we are friends with one of the entertainers on board and Mom has always wanted to see the southern Caribbean. Im looking forward to knowing other singles on board just hope that there might be some in the thirty something range maybe. Momster and I would love to have a chance to meet everyone at some point on the cruise. As I said before you can't miss Mom and I......she is generally trying to run humans or some inanimate object over and Im usually chasing behind her begging her to behave like the lady I know she is (somewhere in the deep pit of her soul is a lady...... I just know it :) )
