Has anyone heard of the place called Spirit Lake that has a horseback riding tour. Apparently it is new and just want to know if anyone has heard or if anyone has taken the horseback tour and has any comments.

Spirit Lake Resort offers horseback riding according to their website but it mentions booking it through your cruise ship. I'd call Spirit Lake direct to see if it would cost less since those ship excursions charge a premium. We rented a car and drove to Emerald Lake and saw the best scenery of the (amazing) trip but didn't know until we returned about independently canoeing or possible riding there.

I emailed them a while ago and reserved a canoe for us to explore spirit Lake in August...only $7.50 per hour..bargain in Alaska.. reminded me to bring insect repellant tho!
