Spirit questions

I was reading up on the Spirit for our cruise in April and I read one of the expert reviews that mentions not to take your hair dryer because the rooms only have an outlet that allows 500 watts, is that correct or did they change that when they put the ship in dry dock? I know food is subjective, but if you could rate the restaurants Cagney's, Le Bistro and Teppanyaki in case we only have a chance to do one or two. We have cruised several times just never on NCL so we want to make the most of it. We have always enjoyed meals at Chops, Portofino's, Davids, Pinnacle Grill, and the Crown Grill, so I for sure want to enjoy a few nights at the surcharge spots if possible. I also wondered if the pay restaurants are open for lunch and do they offer a good selection? Thanks in advance for any help or opinions.

Cagney's, Le Bistro and Teppanyaki

Cagney's is the steakhouse. Le Bistro is a French restaurant. Teppanyaki is Japanese food prepared in front of you (unless you are looking the other way) Benihana style.

So, which is your favorite, steak, French or Japanese with a little show? That is how YOU should rate these three restaurants.

wow, as mentioned it is hard to pick what restautants are best..Because of your past experience with other lines, I would suggest you do Le Bistro (very french and very good) and Teppanyaki's. I suggest Teppanaki's because it is difference and something you do not get on all ships.

As for are they open for lunch, no, not unless you are in a suite..

Enjoy the Spirit, we certainly did.

ps; as for the dryer, I have short hair so have never bothered with bringing a dryer, I can't answer your question.

Nita, I was counting on you for my hairdryer question, And we are just in a balcony so no suite. I for sure think we want to go to Teppaykis since we don't have anything even close to that here. To be honest we live in such a small town we don't even have a steak house so anything different will be great. I am really looking forward to trying NCL, just tried Princess last October and although it was nice it just didn't seem great. Thanks Diane

Hair dryers are provided in all staterooms.

Cagney's is wonderful and you must have the shrimp cocktail. All the appetizers are wonderful. The Maitre' D, Roman is the best on the ship and his crew are the happiest on board. You may want to ask him how he keeps his staff so happy.(":D")

Le Bistro has a fillet that is better then Cag's and the chocolate fondue should not be missed. After dinner ask for Jamaican Coffee, WOW. You can watch the goings on in the galley. Make friends with the chef, Robert. He will treat you extra special
