Carnival codes its cabins with a number and letter. The number is the category. A four is an inside cabin. A six is an ocean view. An eight is a balcony. Eleven and twelve are the suites. The letters indicate a level within the category. For the Spirit class, 8A is standard balocny on deck four, 8B is a standard balcony on deck five. 8C is an extended balcony on deck five. 8D is a standard balcony on deck six. 8E is an extended balcony on deck six. This continues for decks seven (8F & 8G) and eight. (8H & 8I).
In Acapulco you can see the cliff divers. I was under impressed, given how famous this event is. However, it is worth seeing. Don't have any suggestions for the other two ports.
5252 is a side facing balcony on deck five on the port (left) side of the ship between the life boats and the rear of the ship. As noted above, it does not have any obstructions to its view. I was on an aft facing balcony on the Pride (the younger sister of the Spirit) and did not feel any movement until the last day at sea when the ship was moving at full speed through moderate seas to make it back home on time. I think your cabin is in a good quiet location.
