I am going on the Splendor in Nov. I am so excited. Anyone have info about the ship other than what the website says? Anyone else going on the 7 day eastern?

I'm booked on the 10/29 transatlantic & am very excited about it.

There is a bit of new information about a policy that is just now being implemented. Beginning with the very first voyage, the Spa Staterooms on decks 10 & 11 will all be non-smoking. Initially Carnival was being very secretive with this new policy, but they are now notifying travel agents of this change, although they haven't "officially" made an announcement on their web site. It will make a big difference, both pro & con, to many cruisers.

We will be on the Splendor Aug 30 out of UK. If it is even remotely close to the Freedon its sister ship (we were on last Sept in the med) you are in for a fabulos time!

Lars[/quote]Well, the Carnival Splendor will be in Northern Europe and the Carnival Freedom will be in the Mediterranean. Is the Mediterranean considered to be "remotely close" to Northern Europe?

We are so excited about this ship :couple we sailed last Nov on the Conquest and to quote my dh "it was the best cruise we have ever been on." I am hopeful that this ship will be as much fun if not more than our last sailing.
Anyone booked on the Nov 29th sailing?

The question I responded too was the ship itself not the med versus the baltic. I was simply saying that if the ship and service is as nice as it's sister ship they were in for a good time!
