Has anyone done the Every'ting Cool Beach Day shore excursion through Carnival? We will be on the Triumph on 6/19/04 and were just wondering if it was worth it. I hear you come and go at your leisure, get a floating mat, beach chair, food, 99 cent beer and over 80 different choices of daquiris (2 free!!). Sounds good to me, but, what are your opinions?

I didn't do the excursion through Carnival, but I saw the beach and the bar coming back from Marigot while on the Glory 2 weeks ago. That beach is right across the pier and you can get there on your own with a water taxi. Rule of thumb - you can do everything cheaper on your own than go through the cruise. Also, Orient Beach, where we went on our own, seemed a lot prettier. However, don't know if there was 99c beer on Orient Beach. Drinks, such as pina colada, were $6. If drinking is your only goal, everthing cool beach day might be the best.

Whether or not it is cheaper to do on you own will probably depend on how much you plan to drink.

Thanks guys! Well, of course my only goal won't be to drink! Now, I'm not saying I won't have a few while I'm there, just wondering if the beach is pretty or crowded. I've heard lots about Orient Beach and I know that it's a must see so, that's been added to the list. How do you suggest we plan our days in St. Thomas and St. Maarten? Shop/sight see in the morning and beach in the afternoon?

You can do the Every'ting Cool on your own. We went with Princess' excursion, but found out we could have done it cheaper ourselves. We walked to the beach. It was a relaxing day you could rent jet skies, and they had a trampoline in the water, these weren't included in the price they were extra. I believe we got lunch and a couple drinks each. Loungers were available for a price. ALso many beach vendors(hair braiders and shawl thingies). Next time I'm heading to Orint Beach...JMHO

Just to let ya know, those vendors were also there in droves at Orient Beach. Very Very persistent and would not leave us alone.

Sorry, I don't agree about the vendors being persistent. Yes, women were walking up and down the beach trying to sell stuff, but if you waived your hand like "go away" or just shook your head, they would simply walk on. That's part of the caribbean experience and culture.

We always LOVE to go to Everyt'ing Cool! It's actually in town in the middle of the shopping area. Shop a while - Drink a while - Swim a while ............ or in which every order that suits you! We've been there MANY time so let us know if you have any other questions! :)

Thanks NellieB! Can you tell me how much it is to jump on the trampolines that are in the ocean? We are still kids at heart! Thanks.

Gosh "FreddiesFS" ... sorry, can't help on the trampolines. Nothing was very expensive at Everyt'ing Cool. The cost for 2 beach chairs & an umbrella was $10.00 for the day. (Last trip, we needed 3 beach chairs with the umbrella and it was still only $10.00.) It cost $6.00 each for the floats. Have Fun! :)
