Which beach is better for snorkeling - Little Bay or Orient Beach? I've heard great things about both beaches but will only have time to visit one. I want amazing snorkeling but soft white sand to sun bathe as well. Any help would be great. Thanks!

have only been to Orient Beach, which is a very beautiful beach, but I don't think there is any snorkling. Now I did see some people ride on waverunners, holding snorkling masks, towars some rocky islands out in the ocean, so maybe there is snorkling there.

I agree with Camelia......I've only been to Orient Beach and I don't think it's known for snorkeling.I've never been there, but have heard about Reserve Sous-Marine Regionale, an area off the northeastern shore of French St Marten that's a protected regional underwater nature reserve. It's supposed to have calm waters, shallow reefs and coves and great snorkeling. Maybe do a search for that online and see what you find. I've also heard of Baie Rouge, on the French side, that has a long stretch of sand nd rock formations that are cool to snorkel. If you for sure want to snorkel St Marten, I'd do a search on some of these places and others, then just hook-up with a taxi to take you and pick you up. Have fun! :)
