we took the snorkel excursion to Pinel from our Celebrity cruise in June 02. We were a bit disappointed. I'd never snorkeled before so was looking forwarding to seeing the great marine life. While there were some fish (they were fed to come into the area) and there was some coral/reef life, much of that coral/reef life was abused. People would stand on the corals and reefs, etc. There was only a small general area that we swam around. We're looking for something else to do when we port in St. Maarten in November. Going to try the Captain Nautica excursion for the snorkeling this time (St. Thomas/St. John).You didn't mention exactly what kind of excursion it was to Pinel - I can only assume you meant the snorkeling?:wave
