We're looking to charter a private 1/2 day sail for 4 in St Thomas. Any suggestions?

Check out www.sailwinifred.com. This is a great excursion. Capt. Sharon only takes a max of 6 people. Prince includes breakfast, lunch and an open bar. The Winifred is a gorgeous sail boat and Sharon takes you near Caneel Bay for great snorkeling. Cost is $120 per person, $100 if you pay cash the day of the sail. You are picked up at Red Hook around 9:30, returned about 3:30.

We did this last May when we were on the Grand and it's the best time we've ever had in St. Thomas. A wonderfully relaxing way to spend the day.

Kathy -

I just wanted to thank you for this advice, we were looking for something to do in St. Thomas. We'll be in St. Thomas on May 11 and we couldn't decide on an excursion for the day. I spoke with Sharon and this daysail sounds great and was such a great price. I know this will be the highlight of our trip and I'm so glad we won't have to deal with the crowds. Thanks again!

Good for you for taking this tour. We did it and it was the absolutely best excursion I've ever taken. Obviously, I love sailboats and the chance to be on one with just a few others was great. You will love it.

You won't be disappointed! We sailed with Sharon and loved it! If you are prone to seasickness, take your dramamine. I got a little woozy on the sail back to Red Hook, and did a little "chumming" over the side! It was well worth it, though! :)
