Great advice BurBunny!! I got the best deal for my digital camera at Boolchand's in St. Maarten. I priced them before leaving home so I knew what to base the price on. Last Christmas I purchased a Sony Discman for my daughter there and just for the heck of it, I priced it in St. Thomas the next day while in port and it was more expensive in St. Thomas..a lot more.Some things are cheaper in the islands..some are not. I was interested in purchasing the power adapter for my camera last year in St. Maarten, but it was $20.00 cheaper at home even with paying state tax on it.
