On the Princess in November. Looking for recommendation for a sail/snorkel trip. Heard some great things about Winifred but she is booked for that day. Has anyone done the Highpockets sail? Or, are we better off using one of the Princess excursions. Input, pleaseeee.

Safe yourself some dough and take a taxi to Sapphire Beach. You can rent snorkeling equipment fins and snorkel for $5 for one hour. A Lounge chair will cost you $5 for the day. Its a beautiful place and the snorkeling is good, but the undertow can be strong. I don't know how bad it would be in November since we went in May.

I just got back yesterday from the Golden Princess. We did the sailboat/snorkeling Princess and it was really nice and relaxing. I personally like the sailboat and the atmosphere more than the snorkeling but I would recommend this tour. They played music while we sailed and free complimentary drinks and snacks on the way back. It was very relaxing and a good way to start off the week.

Another great place you can snorkel is Cokie Beach.. You can get a cab there, for about $7., the same coming back.. Go to the right end of the beach, there's a coral jut-out there and there's fish by the millions, of all species.. You can rent equipment there, but I prefer to use our own for obvious reasons.. Hope this helps you. Happy sailing.. Bombero

You might consider going over to St. John's Island and snorkeling at Trunk Bay. It is in Virgin Islands National Park.
