Catch a cab and go wherever you wish. Megan's Bay is a great choice, as is Mountain Top. Choices are endless. You will have a great time and save some money too.

If you have a spare hour or so, take the gondola to the top of Paradise Point. Go to the cafe and order yourself a Bushwacker. It's a great frozen concoction that you will absolutely love and the view from up there is magnificent. I believe the gondola is $10-14 to ride but I think you can walk up the hill too.

After having gone to St. Thomas and St. John many times to different beaches, we did a taxi tour which was great. The jitneys charge about $20pp for about 3 hours. we made many photo opportunity stops and ended up at Mountain top for the infamous Bannana Daiquari. The driver could leave you off at Maegan's bay if you wanted beach time too. Godfrey tours $20pp, takes you for 2 hours of shopping, 2 hours for an island tour and then to the beach of your choice with pickup and return to the ship. These stops alone are worth the money instead of each way taxi fares.
Bon Voyage

My family was in St Thomas in March of 2002, and we had a wonderful cab driver, God Father...LOL. We found him when we were looking for a ride back to the ship for lunch and after we ate we asked for him again when we left and he took us to a scenic overlook on the way to Magens Bay. Once at the beach he arranged a time to pick us up and at the arranged time he took us back to the ship.

There was some traffic on the way back, and while sitting in it he told us all about St. Thomas. He was great.

I would definately reccomend Magens Bay. It didn't seem crowded when we were there, even though it was "spring break" season. Go down towards the end of the beach, it gets quieter and more secluded.
