Hi. I am going on Feb.25th on the STAR and will return March 5th. I plan to write a cruise review. I have been on the Star when it was located in Hawaii. It is a beautiful ship and beautiful restrooms in your cabin than any other ship I have been on. I am going to have fun, fun, fun. That ship has lots of pluses that I enjoy.

Agreed! We were on the Star last June on a cruise to Alaska. A really beautiful ship with lots of fun things to do. We spent a lot of time in the game room on deck 12, which is steps away from the Spinnaker Lounge which is all the way to the front of the ship. A nice, big lounge where there was always a lot of action. We spent a lot of time in there too, looking out the floor to ceiling windows.

The Versailles dining room is truly elegant. The Aqua and Versailles are the 2 main dining rooms with the same menu, but different surroundings. Versailles is prettier but Aqua was easier for us to get to.

I recommend that you eat at least once in the Blue Lagoon if you like old English style fish and chips. Yummy! Open 24 hours.

Also, Endless Summer is a very beautiful restaurant because of the "painted" or "stained" glass ceilings. It is Tex Mex, and even though there is no extra charge for eating in there you have to make a reservation. Their menu stays the same every day - good food.

In the Java Cafe they have cookies every day - no charge.

The Market Buffet is OK too. We ate there for breakfast most days. The only problem is finding a place to sit together for 6 people if you go at peak times. Even though it's a large area with lots of tables, it seemed to be really busy.

If you want anymore info about the ship, please feel free to ask! I love to talk about it.

Hi Hikini. I used to like to eat snacks at the Blue Lagoon. I plan to try the fish this time. It is located one deck down from my cabin. It will be fun to go there when I wake up early, early, in the morning.
Can you order from the regular menu from the main dinning rooms also in the Endless Summer restaurant?
I didn't get a chance to eat there last time. I leave on Feb.25th. I am looking foreward to seeing that ship again.
Did you attend the chocolate buffet? I loved the home-made chocolates. I am taking plastic baggies so I can take some back to my cabin and put the candies in the cabin refrigerator. My favorite was the chocolate bananas. Yum!!!

I don't know about ordering from the main dining room menus at the Endless Summer. We really liked the Tex Mex food in there and they had a nice variety. We had the NICEST waiter - a young man from Honduras and I think his name was Alfredo. We gave him an extra tip because he was so great. They had BBQ ribs in there too, so it's not all Tex Mex.

We did attend the chocoholic buffet in Versailles. My problem with that is that it was at midnight. The chocoholics buffet on the Sky was in the afternoon one of the days at sea. That was MUCH better!

In the Blue Lagoon I only ordered the fish and chips because they were so good, but I heard from others in our group that the burgers were VERY good too.

You only have a week to wait! I have just under 7 months to wait!

The Chocolate buffet was at 3p.m. in the afternoon when I cruised on the Star. I wonder if they also have it at midnight too.
The Blue Lagoon has chili fries too. It is also fun to open up their frig to get juice or milk. Plus, they always have cookies or pastries.
I am already looking foreward to eating. LOL. I love BBQ ribs too.
