The Spirit is a wonderful ship, I cruised it last year., however, this year I will cruise on the Star... Its a little bit smaller and older than the Star, but just as nice. The Spirit leaves Seatte on Saturday, and does the Sawyer Glacier and Prince Rupert while the Star leaves Seattle on Sunday and does Glacier Bay and Victoria.... For the price, you can't lose with the Spirit.... Almost every review of both ships are positive..... The only reason why I chose the Spirit last year was because of the Saturday departure, its more convenient than a Sunday departure.... One can fly Friday evening, and be in Seattle the night before, and it leaves you with an extra day to get back home, the day being Sunday....
