Hi Wolfton. We'll be sailing with you. We've sailed with Princess before (it's our first time on the Star Princess) and have really enjoyed ourselves. I understand from others that the Caribe deck balconies are larger balconies and are half covered/half open. Should be just great!! Also, there's a thread on the cruise critic board concerning the October 18 sailing. Come on over and say hi there too.

My husband & I are on your cruise
We also are on the Carib deck don't have room number off hand.
Just below the Suites on the opposite side of the laundry rooms

First timers in Mexico.
Just take everything in strive.
It's a very poor country and they depend on our tourism trade.
So be prepared for possible milking.
But be polite and say "No Thank You"

We were on the Mexican Riviera cruise in 2002. We took this cruise because we live on the west coast, which gave us cheaper airfare. We didn't take many excursions. Although one person in our party did go with Randy's Happy Horses at Mazatlan. She said it was great, that Randy was great fun, and that she would do it again.

Mexico, expect it to not be like the States. It is a different culture, and a different world. People will treat you well, they are friendly and helpful. Puerto Vallarta is a great place to stroll around--check out the town square in front of the church. We love PV! It is very typical non-touristy town in many areas. Cabo is very tourist oriented, it does not feel like Mexico. I didn't see a lot of Mazatlan, but it is an industrial town. When you arrive in port, you are next to the shrimp boats!

Enjoy the Star Princes!
