Hi all...we are booked on the Star early next year from Sydney and have been allocated an outside category C cabin on Aloha deck. This has a window facing the stern and is ajacent to the Terrace Pool..does anyone know anything of these cabins? There seems to be only 4 of this type on the entire ship. It seems ok to us..any feedback would be welcome.

We are booked in A747 on the Star on March 1. I booked a guarantee and just received notice of my cabin on the Aloha Deck

Not too happy about this one, cabin looks smaller than the other regular C category cabins and I don't know about being so close to the Terrace Pool. I usually book mid-ship, easier to get around the mega ships when your cabin is in the middle.

If you have been in one of these 4 cabins, please let JR and I know, we are in the same boat, so to speak! :jump

I called Princess and the cabin has portholes and is 168 sq. ft.

I have paid for an upgrade - $99pp and have been given B302 which is BC category. The balcony is 13 X 9 and the total space is 3 hundred something sq. ft. (Think it was 368). It is a handicapped room and since the ship leaves in one week and it is not booked they let us have it. The bathroom will be large too-which I like.

Good luck with the cabin. In reality, we are never in our cabin and I use the balcony very little. When we were in the South Pacific I think I sat on it twice in 10 days. I get up very early and head to the top deck and can sit up there for hours - well at least until chair hogs arrive.

Happy sailing, you will love every minitue of your cruise, regardless of the cabin :jump

Be prepared for the smallest showers you can ever imagine!!!! They do not get bigger until the mini suites. My only complaint about the ship.

Marion - that was a good move on your part. :thumb

Even the mini-suite bathroom space is tight.

I was in such a cabin but on the Star's sister ship, the Grand. It seemed a little bigger than the standard ocean view (which we had on our first cruise with the Grand). My husband and I were a bit worried about the noise, especially on their tropical night Party that they are organizing on the Terrace but the party ended up waaaaay before we went to bed. We were never bothered by any noise and the cabin is soundproofed enough (we were just by the entrance door). The sea was a little rougher than our first cruise on the Grand and we thought we'd feel the rocking more this time, since we at the very back of the ship. Everything was fine on this side too. The great thing is, as soon as you step out of the cabin, you up the little stairs and... behold the vista and the swimming pool!

Enjoy your cruise, you're gonna love it.
