We have cruised Carnival and the few times that we had more than 2 in our cabin the cabin steward always made the couch up at night into a bed but turned it back into a couch in the morning. We've never had to ask him to do this, it was just always done. We have never had cookies put into our room at night, even when the extra guest in our room was a child. Next time you can just mention it and hopefully you won't encounter that problem again.
