Hi, could anyone tell me, would I be allowed to take a hand held clothes steamer on board? I dont think they would be classed as the same risk as a regular iron, from what I can gather they are about the size of a hairdryer, you put water in them and they do have a heating element which turns the water to steam. We are going on the Mercury from Honolulu to New Zealand in November and I know they dont have laundry facilities, so thought this might be a good way to get my clothes looking good. Hope someone can help, thanks in advance. Joan.

You can bring steamers aboard. However, there is a pressing service available for a small fee. Why spend your time getting clothes ready when you can be enjoying the ship?

We used the laundry/dry cleaning service and the pressing service last week onboard.
It is so reasonable that it's cheaper than here in BC
