Sting Ray City and Turtle Farm in Cayman

Hi! I am going to Grand Cayman in Nov with my hubby and 2 sons (ages 1 and 4)
Can anyone recommend a good, reliable , reasonable trip to Stingray City? Since I have 2 small children, I am not looking for an all day snorkel trip, but maybe a few hours there
! Also, how is the turtle farm? Is this something we can go to on our own via taxi, maybe after the rays? how far is it from port, and how much would a taxi be? Are both things doable in an afternoon?
Thanks!

There are several reputable companies offering trips to Stingray City, we used Captain Marvins a few years ago and plan to again this December (fantastic experience, I highly recommend them). Check out NativeWay, Soto's and Captain Bryans (Brians?) too. As for the turtle farm, your children will enjoy that as they are too young to notice or be bothered by the fact that most of the turtles there are eventually used for meat. They do release a small percentage back to the ocean, but not much. We went there once, and got to hold one of the sea turtles, not sure if you can still do that or not, but that was neat and your 4 year old would especially enjoy that. In my opinion, I wouldnt bother going there again, I would rather see these gracious creatures in their natural surroundings, gliding through the beautiful caribbean sea, not in cement vats.

We really loved Captain Bryans Catamaran the catamaran is great and the staff was really nice. They also offer a turtle farm and hell tour afterwards and it might end up cheaper then a cab as cabs in Cayman are insanely high in price.
