Stingray City

Does anyone know what Carnival charges for their Stingray Sandbar tour? I have done Nativeway. Have booked with Capt. Marvin in the past, but due to a very big mistake on my part, (booked the wrong day we were in port at Easter time!) and do not remember what we paid for Carnival tour. Is one really better over the others and why? Need a tour just for a couple of hours as we want more time shopping. I am going with two friends who have never done the stingray thing and I am anxious to have them experience it. Thanks for any info!

Stingray tours all go to the same place so you're really just paying for a boat ride to the sandbar. We did the Stingray Sandbar a couple months ago via Carnival and it was fine.
The boat was not crowed at all.
The key is to book the first excusion available through the ship. Ours was 7AM.
That gets you off the boat and in the tender first in Grand Cayman, allowing you the most time in port. Most ships are not in G/C very long.
All of the Stingray tours sold out BEFORE the excursion meeting on the ship so be sure to fill out your request as soon as you board.
We grabbed the form and filled it out before we even went to our cabin.

Did you not care for Nativeway? We thought they were wonderful, especially in that they only charged $25 per person.

We did notice that the actual Carnival excursion for Stingray City was extremely crowded. When that boat pulled up to the Stingray City area, they almost ran over other people who were already in the water, and people were just hanging off the boat, it was so crowded. Thankfully, we had already been there quite awhile with Nativeway, so our group moved on to another snorkeling site.

Anyway, if case you've lost Nativeway's number, it is 345-916-5027.
