We just booked a cruise onboard the Navigator of the Seas in a Junior Suite. Does anyone know what perks come along with a junior suite?

Hi

When we have booked a junior suite we sometimes get a table by the window in the main restaurant and also you get a special line to check in by but thats about it.

A JS is not considered a true suite on RCI. You do two cruise credits for each person in the cabin and also in most ports you receive priority check-in and boarding at embarkation. That is about it.

RCI is now introducing some upgraded suite amentities for the Grand Suites and higher but again the JS will not be included. I have some photos of a JS from the Navigator in my link below.

The only real benefit to a JR. Suite is two cruise credits for booking one cruise with Crown & Anchor. To get the 'real' benefits, you have to book a Cat. GS or above. :)

Hubby and I just got back for Liberty of Seas last week and we had a JR suite...it was 100% perfect for our needs. We may not have gotten a lot of perks but let me say...we never felt like we were in a tiny room. Absolutely perfect size especially with the balcony to boot.

We had a JS on the Explorer and we really liked the room. The walk in closet was a Godsend!! As stated above the only real perk was priority check in which was fine by us!! :thumb

What extra perks do you get with a GS? We're booked in one on Legend on Feb 10th.

Typically - a fruit basket from the Hotel Director, the use of the concierge lounge, and the bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, lotion mini-bottles). There are occasional food treats left in your suite in the afternoons. I think the big advantage is the use of the Concierge Lounge (and all but the smallest RCCL ships have them now). THe Legend does have a lounge now, I believe.

Cabin selection rarely plays a part in table selection.........however,you can request one when you book.........but that is only a request.....once onboard, look for your table..if you dont like it,ask the maitre d' to change it,if possible.....

Natp-yes,your kids can board with you.they will not separate you........you all go on the Suite line.....

I'm cruising RCI for the first time March 13 on the Enchantment of the Seas, also in a JS. Did I understand right that there are no amenities like soap, lotion, shampoo, etc provided? My only other cruise was on Disney in an inside cabin and we got the works. I guess I just assumed the same on RCI.

Not a big deal but I'm glad I found out now so I make sure to bring plenty along. I can't wait to check out the EOS and soak in some sun!

There is soap and shampoo in every cabin.........some times the suites and Diamond members get lotion too..........if its not there, just ask the steward for some..........not 100% sure if JS are really entitled to it,but it doesnt hurt to ask..........but it will be in a tiny bottle,so if you use alot, you're just as well bringing your own.............I always bring hair conditioner since there definetly is none in your cabin...........

And <i know you didnt ask,but they provide pool/beach towels too..........

My JS last month did not have lotion. It did have the standard soaps and shampoo though.

Thanks--I couldn't imagine not having at least soap provided. I read that you bring your towels with you from your cabin to the pool and then back to the cabin again? Looks like each cruise line has their own way of doing things. Disney just has them out around the pool areas to pick up to use while there and then put into their large hampers.

Do you also have to carry towels with you off the ship on to CoCo Cay?
