HI SKIMBLE,

You are going to really enjoy the refined atmosphere and friendly crew. You will be with a lot of Americans and I am sure that you will have one of the best times you have ever had in your entire life!! I am confident that you will make friends and be able to join in with other cruisers who are close to your own age. Have a great time.

I am leaving for the SUMMIT this Thursday morning as we will sail on Friday.

Have a ball!!

My wife and I will be on the same cruise. I don't know if you'll find a lot of people your age but we are mid 40's and we can act your age. You can start by considering us your first two friends. We'll buy you your first drink. Pool bar- 4 pm. I'm 6' 3" with sandy blonde hair. My wife is 5' 4" with dark hair. I go by the moniker O'D and my wife is Lizbeth. See you on board. What's your first name?

Re: SUMMIT, cruising by myself; Shore excursions

Hi Mike!
Thanks for the message! I'm looking forward to meeting you on the Summit. I just think that 4 p.m. will not the best time because I think at that time all passengers will run all over the ship with the live jackets in their hands. Above all I would like to enjoy the moment when the ship leaves Fort Lauderdale at one of the highest spots!
Have you booked the first or the second seating for dinner? If you've also booked the late seating we could meet at the Martini Bar at 8 p.m.

Shore Excursions:

I'd like to do a trip into the rain forest of Costa Rica. Celebrity doesn't offer any appropriate excursion where you have the chance to see some wildlife, I searched the web for other tour operators.

There's one who will pick up the guests at the pier:

http://www.costarica-ecotourism.com/cruisepassengers.htm

I would prefer the Sloth's Paradise Tour (79 $). Included: Entrance fee to the Sloth´s Rehab Center, visit to a banana plantation, canoe trip on the Estero Negro estuary, tropical fruits and naturalist tour guide.

I've sent a mail to Greenway Nature Tours and they answered promptly. The problem: there aren't enough participants yet.

Probably someone else is interested in a trip like that. So I would ask you to subscribe to this one to make sure that at least one of the trips will take place.
Please tell me if you are interested.

By the way: What have you planned for Panama?

At Aruba I've booked a full-day-jeep-tour with WIX-Tours.
At Grand Cayman I found a great offer of Cpt. Soto's: 3h snorkel-trip incl. Stingray City, 19$.

I booked these trips on the web and both operators answered within some hours!

...

Here in Germany it's quite cold and rainy! I NEED THE SUN!

Re: SUMMIT, cruising by myself; Shore excursions

Martini Bar- 8 O'Clock- We're in...see you there.

Still thinking over what we want to do in Costa Rica. Been there once before. Beautiful country. In Panama we are taking the dome train excursion offered by Celebrity. We rented are own car in Aruba. Been there a couple of times but have never seen the countryside. My whole family will be going to Grand Cayman in February so we are going to check out the condos we rented and hang on the beach. In Cozumel we are going to Ixcaret (ish-car-et) which is an aquatic nature park. I've got some friends who have been and they say it's not to be missed.
I live in the Northeast part of the USA. We're having Indian Summer so the weather is beautiful but still looking forward to the Caribbean Sea.

See you on November 10.

Michael and Lizbeth
