~ NCL Sun to Alaska ~ May 8-15, 2005! ~

Hi to everyone taking the very first trip of the season! Granted, it's not for everybody. So what compells us to freeze our collective butts off on purpose? We're either special - - or insane. That should about cover us all.

If you're joining this Alaska adventure, hope you'll stop in here to post a few messages - say hello - introduce yourselves - and tell everyone else how excited you are about the trip!

My husband and I are so pumped! You'd think after 3 cruises to Alaska already, it would be old news... but it just keeps getting better and better! Thought we'd try NCL this time as we've heard alot of positive feedback about the Sun! And we think Princess has hogged our business long enough. Can't wait to explore new-to-us Wrangell. Wondering how different Sawyer Glacier will be compared to Glacier Bay. Looking forward to ringing the bell (or not!) at the Purple Moose!

Our thoughts of the moment...

...any ideas on how to devilishly plan to get rum onboard without a scene?
...tricky ways to deak in front of people while embarking?
...are sequins on levis dressy enough for the captain's party?

It's gonna be quite the ride!

Hi gmasters! You found this site too! The Cruise Critic web site certainly has alot more joiners. You sound as excited as we are! We're on deck 11. Did you get a balcony?

Hey Sioux - Nice to meet you! Gmasters and I are on the May 8-15 voyage - you mentioned you're cruising in June? Try starting a brand new Roll Call for your date so you can meet others travelling with you.

we have room 8032 ? dony have papers here next to me but its getting pretty close. watching the web cam daily of ship and one eye on weather. not that the weather is something we raelly care about. We have traveled alot of places in middle of summer in Death Valley, and many times in March in London or Paris so weather in the 50+ sounds just great to us. we are early coffee drinkers so we will be on the balcony no matter what the weather.
we do have some side trips planned at each port stop.
We have lived in Alaska in the past so this will be our first trip back to Alaska in 11 years. This is a great cruise with no open water so its all about looking over the rail to the coast line.
