Sun Princess - need advice

We are booked to go onto the Sun princess for a 10 day carribbean cruise next March.
We are both in our late twenties and although we like the class and service you get on board the cruises we also like a lively atmosphere. Has anyone been on the Sun at this time - what was the crowd like?

Will there be others there around our age?

The Sun will be new on this route next year. This year, the Dawn Princess did this itinerary. If you look back in the reviews, a large group from here was on her in January. I'm in my mid-30s and really enjoyed her in January, but I also wasn't looking to party until 4AM ;)

Also, what do you classify as lively? What activities are you looking for? 10-day cruises are generally a bit older demographic than shorter duration cruises, but in March you have spring break which brings your averages down quite a bit.

From reading other boards I got a bit worried that everyone would be in bed by 10pm.

However since i have been assured that this wont be the case. When i say lively atmosphere i meant a few people who didnt mind having a bit of a drink and boogie.

activity wise we have looked at the trips and these look great particularly the horse riding and forest and cave exploration in Barbados. H as anybody done these trips are they worth it?

By the way when is spring break? I am british so am not up to speed on these things although it sounds like a good idea.

Hi,

I just got home last Tuesday from a 10 day on the Sun Princess - we did the Mexican Rivera. Although I'm not in my twenties (I wish), I found the general age group to be older ( 60+). I commented to one of the crew about this and was told that any cruise over 7 days is generally an older group - the younger crowds tend to stay with the 7 day cruises - due to cost and time availability. Maybe it was the itinerary, but I will think long and hard before I do another 10 day cruise.

I hope you have better luck in the Carribbean!
