Have you crusied princess before, if so what was your opinion?

have you booked your excursions yet - which ones are you doing?

Also if you go to cruise critics there is a board running for this cruise there and on the cruise mates board if you go to princess roll calls there is another board there.

yes, we've been on Princess twice before (Grand)--2002 and 2003. we haven't booked any excursions yet, thinking about the distillery/brewery in Barbados. we've enjoyed both cruises on Princess before--no complaints at all. first time we had an obstructed view room, which was fine--you could see out of it between the lifeboats and the second time went for a balcony--that was nice too, but not sure if I'd spend the extra money--depends where the cruise was going (Alaska is a definite balcony trip!). this time we just have a room with a window--I like to have the light in my room. Can't wait to get out of the snow and cold. See you in 3 weeks--

Welcome to our small group. My mom (80) and I will be on this cruise. This will be our fourth cruise with Princess. We cruised on the Ocean Princess (sister to the Sun) two years ago. Love this size ship. You can email me at likes2cruz@netscape.net if you'd like.

Anything specific you'd like to know? All in all, it was a great cruise. My mom and I had a wonderful time--not a perfect time, but is anything ever perfect? We chose to overlook all the grumpy, complaining people and had a very enjoyable cruise.
So--how can I help you?

Most definetly. We will most likely book the March 29, 2005 Sun Princess cruise.
I would like to hear about the ships atmoshere, the activities, shore excursions, casino and general age of passengers. We will have our children with us ranging in age from 13 - 21. We want to make sure there is something for us all. If you have any familiarity with the teen program, it would be great to hear about that. My husband and I love to dance (ballroom, swing, etc) and we love to simply listen to music. Thanks - Patricia

The Sun Princess is one of the older ships--so doesn't have all the newest gadgets, but we still found her to be quite delightful. She has what I would term a casual elegance about her. The theaters are not so large that you have trouble seeing the stages--I guess it's just the size of ship I prefer.
There was plenty of opportunity to listen to different types music and to dance.
I'm afraid I can't be of any help with teen program or casino information. We did, however, enjoy participating in the trivia games almost daily.
There are plenty of choices for shore excursions from bus tours to scuba diving--I think you'll find something appealing for every age group.
On the 10-day cruises, the average age of the passengers is probably close to 60. We saw a very wide range on our cruise--from babies through 80+. If you're traveling during school vacation time, you'll see more children, teens, and young adults--but still a lot of older folks as well.
Any more specific areas or questions?
