Yeah, after seeing the rates for the oasis, allure, and dream... i think i'll be sailing on the dream first... RCI certainly thinks highly of themselves to be charging 1200.00 for an interior cabin that is no larger than one on carnival's legend, or pretty much any of carnivals fleet interior cabins. I understand this is a new ship, and i understand that the service is usually a little better on RCI, but not worth almost double the cruising price. I mean Carnival's dream , rates are still about 2/3's to 1/2 as much as RCI's Oasis, and Allure. It's almost enough to make me not want to sail RCI with those rates. It's not just with the new ships either. Carnival's cabin rates are consistently lower than RCI's. Was comparing rates for a balcony cabin for next fall.. same itinerary, same size of ships(or as close as possible), and carnival rates were on average 30-40% less than RCI. So a question i have is this; If carnival is selling cabins for so much less than RCI, what, if anything, is carnival cutting corners on?? I mean i wouldn't wonder this if it were a 10-20% difference in prices, but these are differences of 30-40% difference in prices. So is RCI "gouging" for lack of a better word for it, it's customers? and taking the huge profits to reinvest in more huge ships?? or is it like i fear and that carnival is cutting corners somewhere in the cruise experience.....
