JimboA, I agree with you on the service issues, as it is no secret that RCI gives excellent service. However, most of the posts i've read give Carnival an edge on the dining experience. Unfortunately, i'm sure you are correct to a degree about the expediency of check in at embarkation. Overall though, i think i'm going ot have to agree with John on this one... Carnival delivers more bang for your buck!!! I simply cannot believe that by paying, in most cases, a 40% premium in fares on RCI for the same cruise experience you get with Carnival. The only major difference i see between Carnival and RCI is that RCI delivers better service, and the ship deor is less "vegas" like and more refined. To me that is just not enough of a difference to spend up to 40% more on my cruise experience.
