Yes, we were on the Cook Islands itinerary in early May. Mark at Huahine Natique sets the benchmark for snorkeling expeditions. He has an all-day version of the 4 hour tour his company does for Princess. The one booked directly through
reservation@huahine-nautique.com is much, much better, though. Mark takes you in his outrigger for two snorkels, one a drift snorkel, and his boat stays with the group. In between he takes you to a pearl farm, and then a motu picnic. That's what sets this one apart! There are tables with umbrellas set in the water. Musicians play while Mark's wife prepares salads, fruit, fried chicken and fresh mahi-mahi before your eyes. They also do some dancing and paraeu-tying demonstrations, and you'll laugh till you cry. You can see both Princess tours come and go while you're on your tour. It's wonderful! Not cheap, but we paid less for our all-day tour than those who booked Princess' 4-hour tour.
i see that your e-mail address is listed; I cut and pasted everything I found into Word documents. I'll send them to you directly, as well as my brief review of the cruise. BTW, there are much more extensive reviews and discussions of the Tahitian Princess and all its departures on
www.cruisecritic.com.
Happy cruising,
