Talked to Maw this Afternoon

Her voice sounded chipper as she answered the phone but it was obvious as we conversed that she was a bit under the weather. As she was in the middle of trying to tell me something she driffed off to foggy land. Plus she said she has been coughing quite a bit since early this morning. She was too tired to go down to therapy but did so some upper body exercises from her bed. Also, Paw took a break today from coming in to see her. She is determined she will get back on her feet and on the cruise circuit once again. :boogie: Get well soon Maw our prayers continue.

It sounds as if I talked to her before you reached her Denise..
She started off very good with me, but by the end she was showing signs of tiring and said that she had taken her pain pill and was going to rest.
it sounds as if you caught her right when it took effect:biggrin:
I have had a few of those kinds of conversations with her myself.. I call it "The two mudslide effect"

Red, I've been putting off calling her as I know she has been foggy with the meds. So, we kept the call short and sweet but it was so good to hear her voice and the determination to get well and get to sea once again :sunny:

Very nice that she knows so many of you to call her often. She seems like a very special person that I hope to meet one day.

Denise.. if you wait for her to get off the meds.. you may wait a while:whistle:

Just go for it.. she does love to hear from everyone, and it lifts her spirits.
She had broken her Kindle when she was first admitted, so I was pleased to hear that her new one was there now. I just hope that she hangs onto this one, as she definitely faded away from me once or twice.

Just think of how long she has been in there, I know that it would depress me.. and she still has a long way to go.

So everyone, remember to send a card to her now and then. I know that Brenda put up the address somewhere on this board. Plus the link to sending the hospital emails. We must remember to ask her if she is getting them. If not.. it is back to snail mail.
