Tampa post cruise

We cruise in May from Tampa. Fly out the day after we return so have a day/night to kill. Need suggestions on where to stay and what to do with luggage when we get off the boat in the morning. Is there a hotel that you've used that will store your bags while we're exploring?

Sorry last in the area used an AirB&B. Prior the hotel I used is gone it was so long ago. Great area to explore and not far to Sarasota . Lots of traffic.

Thanks. Looked at a few Airbnb's but the reviews on the areas they were was a little sketchy. That and the luggage was an issue as we couldn't check in early without paying for the night before(at least that is what the owner of one told me). We won't have a car to visit Sarasota but have been there before. Really just wanna be within walking distance of some bars and restaurants.
