There are a couple of issues for you to consider. The driving time from park to ship and the ship's requirement about reboarding. Most seem to want you back on board at least 30 minutes before sailing. Even if you stretch the point, you have a fairly small window of time to get back. The ideal scenario is that you pick up a return cab at 3:50 or so and have only a 10 minute ride. I can't tell you whether that's possible. Can you contact the park via Internet or phone to learn the time and distance details? If you find that the trip is short and decide to go ahead, consider asking your cab driver to wait for you. Expect to offer a nice tip for this service--after all, he could be out getting other fares while you are swimming. We've had good success with drivers coming back for us at a prearranged time, but that has been in the Eastern or deep Carib--don't have any taxi experience in Mexico.Another option to consider is switching your tour to an earlier time. Less stress all arouind.
