Taxi from MIA?

I haven't yet paid for my transfer from Miami International, and wanted to know if it would be significantly cheaper to take a cab to the port? I'm leaving 4/2, and the transfer I believe is $24 per person? Not sure if this is round trip, but I assume it's basically a bus? Thanks!

Thanks for the MIA website. I hadn't even thought of using SuperShuttle...another good option. Either of these to me avoides the cattle call of a big bus to the port. Do you know of any reason I shouldn't use Carnival's transportation?

I will also be cruising on 4/2 from Miami on the Carnival Valor. We will be taking a taxi instead of Carnival transfers. There are 4 of us traveling together and it is cheaper going by taxi. We are flying in the day before and have free airport shuttle service to the hotel and then we will be taking a taxi from the hotel to the pier the day of the cruise. We will also be taking a taxi from the ship to the airport on our way home.

The Carnival shuttle is fine. I have used it several times. Yes it is a cattle call but then so is a taxi with more than two people because of all the luggage most people carry. Best advise. Go down a day or two early. Enjoy some REAL Cuban food. Rent a car. When you return the car the rental car company will return you to the port. This works out very well. You can also extend your visit and do the same thing on the return. I have done this with Hertz, Avis and Alamo. They all will pick you up and drop you off at the port.
