Does anyone know if Carnival provides any discounts to teachers? A discussion at work lead to this topic. My wife is a 3rd grade teacher. I thought I would ask @ddicts before calling Carnival?
I have been asked this by clients many times. Unfortunately, the answer is no
The usual promotions with Carnival are past guest, category guarantee, seniors and sometimes military (past or present) or resident rates.
Royal Caribbean often has resident rates or seniors and sometimes police or firefighters.
If the teachers union is affilliated with AFLCIO you might have a look at Norwegian. They usually have military and union member rates and promotions that include on board credit.
Princess also has promotions that feature on board credit.
Disney features some really awesome Florida resident rates that sometimes reduce the fare by as much as half. Another popular Disney promotion is the kids sail free rate.
Regardless of the cruise line, promotional rates are capacity controlled on each sailing so booking early is usually necessary to get them.
Did you know that NCL cruiseline gives UNION MEMBERS a good discount? Most all teachers belong to unions.
I think that is the only cruise line that does that.
