Texas hotel & airport

Cruise leaves from Galveston. We will need to fly in the day before. What airport do we fly into and do we stay in Houston or Galveston? Also need info on transportation to the terminal. Your assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Houston Hobby is closer to Galveston (by maybe 20-30 miles) than Bush Intercontinental. I've seen people who rent cars, some who swear by a limo service and some who have used some other shuttle service. I'm sorry I can't give you specifics. BTW, I know traffic down I45 from Houston is nasty on Friday evenings so you may want to plan around that. We're on the 11/20 Grand cruise. We'll be driving over from San Antonio. Am looking forward to that!
