Did anybody take a cruise leaving on Thanksgiving Day this year? We are looking at the Holiday next Thanksgiving leaving from Jacksonville. Do they do anything for the for Thanksgiving, besides turkey in the dinning room.

Just got back from the Inspiration which sailed last week. They did have a special menu, but no decorations or special events. You can't beat a beach in Cozumel for Thanksgiving!

BTW here's the menu for Tday:
Fettuccini tossed in mushroom cream topped with grilled chicken tenderloins
Pan seared filet of grouper with caramelized shallot vinaigrette
Delice of the ocean, newburg style (black tiger prawns, scallops)
Tom turkey with sage and onion stuffing
Seared medallion of pork with porcini sabayon
Chateaubriand with sauce bernaise
Zucchini and eggplant parmigian.

We cruised the same week. Dinner was great. I agree with being in Cozymel for Thanksgiving, can't beat it.

We sailed on the Elation the week of Thanksgiving. For Thanksgiving dinner, we were given a souvenir scroll with the menu on it. Turkey was an option but there were many other options, also. The ship was decorated for Christmas when we boarded on Nov. 23. It was beautiful. The Capers had a Thanksgiving theme on Thursday. That was about all. The ship was entirely full (2500 passengers including 722 kids). It was a great cruise.
