Hi, Husband and I are thinking of taking kids on a cruise for thanksgiving week. The new ship Royal Caribbeans IOS looks great for kids and us. We are comparing prices, seems to be way cheaper to get 2 rooms for 2 pp instead of 1 room for 4. Room size is same and price is 1100.00 cheaper, we can do a lot of excursions and souvenirs for that. The only draw back is they said we are guaranteed rooms close together, but will request it. Rooms are assigned closer to departure. What is everyone thoughts? Hubby say we can all hangout in 1 room and just sleep 2 each room, each with one child. We are being cheap I guess, but with the price of everything going up lately we have to be. Thanks for your thoughts.

I agree with your husband. That is some serious savings. That can pay for transfers, insurance, excursions, gifts, specialty dinners, etc. I say go for the savings and hopefully get staterooms close to one another.

It sounds like you are contemplating guarantee cabins which are usually less costly. Often, when booking guarantee rooms, the cabin assignment is done fairly quickly. If you receive your cabin assignments and the rooms are not side by side, you can still call RCCL to see if they have anything better.
