The National weather says that Boston will get a noreaster starting tomorrow. And then when the snow leaves here on Friday it will be another noreaster for the weekend!

Now cut it out!!! How Rude of old man winter :grin I have to fly in there next week on Wednesday night. So no more storms going east from here, no more snow until after Christmas, I want to get home!

Hey, Judy! I like your thinking, because if it goes from Denver to Boston, it probably goes right over Des Moines! :) We really did OK with the ice yesterday, some of the more rural areas really got slammed, though. I've got my fingers crossed for your travel plans....I know those kiddos want to see Grammy!

Ok, I can just picture this now, all of New England socked in with snow, and there goes Judy cross country with her snowshoes, lol.

I know you are worried, but try not to have a nervous breakdown before Wednesday, lol.

Connie :lol I'm just cranky tonight. I had some minor surgery today with several injections used to numb my hip. Then I had to have blood drawn. Two collapsed veins and one more probing for five minutes with no vein found and finally they got some blood out of me. They were sweating and I was saying just find a vein I don't care anymore. :grin I hate it when they start looking at my hands and ankles for veins. That makes me nuts.

Then I came home and realized tonight is one of my self inject nights. I said no way I'm not doing it I've had quite enough! Mike said get it done and don't even think about skipping it! So I toughed out one more needle. Then I watched the weather. eiy yi yi. No more snow and I mean it! :grin

The good thing is I have non-stop flights. So I won't get stuck somewhere along the way. Either I fly or I don't. I learned my lesson the first years I lived here, no connections when flying in the winter. I almost got stuck overnight in St Paul one Christmas Day and in Philly another.

Judy, think of it this way....Old Man Winter is getting the Nor'Easters out of the way this weekend so you have smooth sailing for your trip! We cancelled our trip up to NJ this weekend because of the possibilty of this storm. Think positive and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

OUCH, sorry to hear about all that poking with the needles =eek

Denise I'm sorry you cancelled your weekend with family. But you are so right better safe than sorry. I95 isn't nice on a sunny warm day the last place you want to be is out there in a snow storm.

Thanks everyone. You know either I make it or I don't. I know there would be huge dissapointment on the Boston end. And I really want to see my Grandmother and the kids. But, if it isn't to be I will have to suck it up.

There is still time as long as the weather cooperates.

Judy,

It's snowing like crazy right now (4:45PM 13th) in Kittery and is supposed to go until mid evening (8-9:00PM). We have about 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground (on top of about 4" of old stuff) and it is coming down at more than an inch an hour. So, maybe 6" to 8" or more is expected. It's very fluffy but it is miserable trying to keep the windshield clean and the wipers from freezing. It's 20 degrees and dropping. I'll hit the driveway when it stops snowing.

We went shopping somewhere between 1-2:00Pm and it was so wierd. It looked like someone went into all the stores and shouted, "It's snowing!" and everyone tried to get on the road to go home at the same time. What a traffic jam.

The storm coming Sunday is suppose to be a biggie but you should be OK by Wednesday.

Tough luck with all the needle-work. Hang in there.

Bibb stay warm. I know you are used to these storms. The Sunday Storm they say is a big one. But they are at this point downgrading it for us........of course I don't trust the weather forecasters.....LOL But they say only 4 inches overnight tonight into tomorrow. And a terrible commute! :lol

The extended forecast through Tuesday is that we will break 40 degrees Monday and Tuesday. That is great we have been below freezing most days for 2 weeks now.

Everyone in the path of this snow have a warm dinner and settle in with the loves of your life.
