The price of our cruise just went UP !!

I've seen the prices go down on Carnival as the departure date got closer.
I don't think I've ever seen the price go up especially this far away from the sailing date!

We booked Freedom for November 16 catagory N total price for 2 $1387.88
I wanted to see how much an upgrade to a promenade cabin would be.
I was astonished to find that OUR catagory N would now cost $1567.88
That's a rise of $90 per person!!!! WOW ! ! ! ! (forget the promenade cabin)

Now the children and ourselves are thankful we already booked.
Too bad the in laws have waited to book... that's gonna cost them! LOL

Happened with my upcoming Mariner cruise..................we paid $1079 PP(Balcony)....shortly after booking,it went up to $1470 PP.........thats $800 more per cabin!! Glad we booked when we did or else we never would have...

Now you know why it is smart to book way in advance. If prices should go down, most lines will give you the lower price.

I booked a cruise going out of Bayonne NJ I live in NJ just so I would'nt have to Pay Air to Florida I paid $1247.00 Per Person Promenade room on Explorer of the Seas 8 nights. The price went down I watch on line every day and notified my travel agent she took off the $120.00 per person. Then because we booked before November Royal Caribbean dropped the Fuel Charge so our price dropped another $40.00 per person so I wound up paying $1007.00 per person for a 8 night cruise May 9,2008. If your in laws go to icruise.com they include your airfare for almost free, click on Air included. Sometimes the times arent right you have to call them and they will set up the airline times to accomidate the time for the ship. Saves alot of money

I went to icruise and I looked up the price based on no airfare and then with
airfare from St Louis where the in laws live.

According to icruise.com...

Cruise without air: $1631 for 2
Cruise with air: $2607 for 2

BUT WAIT !!!!!!!!

Then I clicked on the air cruise combo and that came out to less

Cruise with air: $2354 still not almost free air, but better than above.
But there was only one problem (and it's a big one)
All of the flights the website offered in the package landed in Miami
after the ships departure time! (Who says these websites are swift? Not I )
That kinda blew my mind to tell you the truth!
Oh well... back to the drawing board for the in laws !!!!!

Oh... you did mention about the times not being right... I just saw that!
I call wouldn't be a problem if the price turns out to be a good deal ... we shall see!

My friend booked through icruise and they changed the times to accomidate her so call them. Also when you click on the air you'll see they are all different one might say 80% off one might say 60%off but I suggest to call and talk to someone. Its crazy because almost all the times are no good for the ships times. And its supposed to match up to Royal Caribbeans cruises I don't get it. Good Luck My friend made out great

I just went onto icruise to check for you if they are leaving out of Lambert airport in St louis There is a flight that leaves on November 16 at 6:55 AM and arrives in Miami at 10:30 AM Coming back on the 23 it leaves at 2:15 PM and arrives at Lambert at 4:00PM the price is $1177.68 per person total includes air and inside cabin Cat. L Just go to icruise when you get to the part where they have the flights it's the second round of flights first one. It's American Airlines Good luck Total price is $2355.36

I just check American Airlines and for the same flight on their websight is $400 per person. icruise your only paying $210.20 per person
