This year I will be cruising the Star to Alaska, however, last year I cruised on the Spirit. The Spirit is slightly older and smaller, but its a very nice ship. I also prefer freestyle cruising, there are plenty of restaurants and lounges onboard. The food in the restaurants is good, the buffet is nothing special. The only reason why I chose the Spirit last year is because it left Seattle on Saturday instead of Sunday.... You'll love both ships.....
