I will be departing from Tampa in November, so the time in GC will be the same as Tampa, right??? I THINK only Cozumel and Costa Maya will defer?
Thanks- I am trying to reserve a trip through Capt marvin's and wanna make sure we have enough time! CM's said we'd be back at the port at 3, and according to the ship's time we are leaving at 4. Will this work?
THanks again!

THanks that site is great!

I just can't figure out yet how to compare two places!

When we were in GC, the time was the same as U.S. Central time. Others who were on cruises that departed from Florida were on Eastern time, so for them the time was one hour later. We departed from New Orleans, so while in the Caymans, our time didn't change at all. Does that make sense?

Try this website:

http://www.worldtimeserver.com/

It shows you the current time of all major cities in the world.

The Cayman Islands is on EST. So in the summer, it is the same time as the Central Daylight, or one hour behind Eastern Daylight.

hello,

we took the sensation cruise from tampa to gc and cozumel on july 19, 04. when i booked our excursion with capt. marvin in grand cayman they told me that GC is on eastern time, however they do not spring forward to fall back. when our time changes in the spring we are 1 hour ahead, in the fall when we go back we are on the same time as grand cayman. while in cozumel the cruise director warned not to ask the locals for the time, because they are 1 hour behind us as well.
